Natural cork care
CorkLayer Care Guide
CorkLayer is made from natural cork and should be cared for with gentle cleaning, suitable indoor conditions and protection from excessive moisture or abrasive use.
Routine cleaning
- Use a soft broom, dry mop or vacuum with a suitable floor attachment.
- For light marks, use a slightly damp cloth.
- Dry the area after cleaning if moisture remains.
Avoid
- Excessive water or soaking.
- Steam cleaners.
- Harsh chemicals, bleach or solvents.
- Abrasive pads or hard scrubbing tools.
Protecting the surface
Use furniture pads under heavy furniture where appropriate. Lift objects instead of dragging them. In areas with wheels, sharp pressure points or heavy equipment, test suitability first and consider protective mats.
Avoid dragging heavy or sharp objects over the surface and do not leave standing moisture on the tiles.
Natural cork variations
Cork is a natural material. Colour, tone, grain, texture and pattern variations are part of its character and are not considered defects.
Warranty and care
Incorrect cleaning, excessive moisture, unsuitable installation, stains, scratches, dents or misuse may affect warranty coverage.
