CorkLayer Installation Guide

CorkLayer Original is designed for simple modular installation on suitable indoor surfaces. The tiles connect through interlocking puzzle edges and can be installed by hand for standard use.

1. Prepare

Make sure the surface is clean, dry, stable and level.

2. Plan

Lay out the first tiles and check alignment before covering the full area.

3. Connect

Align the interlocking edges and press the tiles together gently by hand.

4. Adjust

Continue row by row and adjust the layout before final use.

Before you start

  • Remove dust, debris, moisture and loose material.
  • Do not install over wet, uneven, unstable or contaminated surfaces.
  • Allow the tiles to acclimatise to the room when possible.
  • Plan your layout before connecting all tiles.
  • For larger projects, order extra material for edges, layout adjustments and future replacement needs.

Basic installation steps

  1. Start from one corner or from the most visible edge of the space.
  2. Place the first tile flat on the surface.
  3. Connect the next tile by aligning the interlocking edges.
  4. Press the tiles together gently by hand.
  5. Continue row by row until the area is covered.
  6. Adjust the layout as needed before final use.

Avoid using on

Cutting and edges

If cuts are needed for walls, corners or obstacles, measure carefully before cutting. Cut products may not be eligible for voluntary return and cutting may affect warranty coverage if done incorrectly.
