References to “CorkLayer”, “CorkLayer.com”, “we”, “us” or “our” on this website refer to the commercial activity operated by ERUDITEJASMINE UNIPESSOAL LDA, unless expressly stated otherwise.

3. Purpose of the website

CorkLayer.com is an online store created for the presentation, promotion and sale of modular cork flooring products, samples, packs, project quantities and related commercial services.

The website may also be used to receive requests for information, B2B enquiries, wholesale enquiries, distributor enquiries, project quotes, customer support requests, warranty requests and return or refund requests.

6. Prices, taxes and payment

Product prices are displayed on CorkLayer.com and may vary depending on market, currency, taxes, promotions, shipping destination and checkout settings.

The primary store currency is EUR. Depending on Shopify Markets, customer location, payment provider availability and checkout configuration, prices may be displayed or charged in other currencies.

Available payment methods are shown at checkout and may include Revolut, card payments, wallet payments and, where available, Scalapay for eligible European customers.

Bank transfer for B2B, wholesale, distributor or project orders may be available upon request and subject to approval.

7. Shipping and delivery

All orders are prepared and dispatched from Portugal, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

For deliveries within Portugal and Spain, we usually ship with CTT Expresso or GLS.

For deliveries to the rest of the world, our main logistics partner is UPS. Depending on destination, service availability, parcel size, operational constraints, customs requirements or carrier performance, we may also ship with DHL, FedEx or another reputable logistics partner.

All CorkLayer shipments are sent with tracking and transport insurance according to the selected carrier’s conditions.

8. Customs, duties and international charges

Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to customs duties, import VAT, tariffs, brokerage fees, clearance fees, local taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country or carrier.

Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout or in writing, international orders outside the European Union are shipped on a DAP / duties and taxes unpaid basis. This means the customer is responsible for all applicable import duties, taxes, customs clearance charges and local fees.

CorkLayer cannot control or predict customs charges. Customs rules vary by country and may change without notice.

9. Returns, refunds and exchanges

Returns, refunds, exchanges, cancellations, withdrawal rights, damaged goods, defective products and warranty-related requests are governed by our Returns, Refunds and Exchanges Policy and our Terms and Conditions.

For eligible consumer orders placed online, customers in Portugal and the European Union have a statutory right of withdrawal within the applicable legal period.

B2B, wholesale, distributor, partner and custom project orders may be subject to different return and refund rules, as described in the applicable policy, quote, invoice or written agreement.

10. Warranty

CorkLayer offers a 5-Year Limited Manufacturer Warranty against manufacturing defects, subject to the warranty terms, conditions and exclusions described in our Terms and Conditions and Returns, Refunds and Exchanges Policy.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, natural cork variations, incorrect installation, unsuitable use, cutting, gluing, modification, stains, scratches, water damage, unsuitable environmental conditions, damage caused by cleaning products or damage caused by misuse.

Warranty claims must be submitted to info@corklayer.com with proof of purchase, photos, description of the issue and any additional information reasonably requested by us.

11. Consumer information

Nothing on this website or in this Legal Notice limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply under Portuguese, European Union or other applicable consumer protection law.
